Trachtenberg Office Attends JCRC Nonprofit Training in Rockville

The Trachtenberg Office was represented at the JCRC Nonprofit Training which took place on Thursday, February 4th at the Jewish Council for the Aging in Rockville. The training was the second training in a series of three trainings for the Montgomery County nonprofit community.

This morning's training focused on "Revenue and Fundraising: Securing the Income Needed to Sustain Your Organization." Some of the topics included setting organizational/program priorities, how to plan an organization's fundraising strategy, earning revenue and understanding cash flow. Types of fundraising discussed included annual campaigns, federated appeals, major gifts, grants and planned giving. Also, there was discussion on registration for soliciting contributions as well as disclosure requirements. Approximately 40 people attended the training.
