Trachtenberg Office Celebrates Caribbean American Heritage Month!

Councilmember Duchy Trachtenberg joined with County Executive Ike Leggett and members of the Caribbean American Advisory Group to celebrate the kick-off of Caribbean American Heritage month on June 10th from 4:30 to 6:30 in the Auditorium of the Executive Office Building.

In her remarks, Councilmember Trachtenberg talked about her personal love of the Caribbean and its peoples and her frequent visits to this beautiful part of the world. She also spoke about the many important contributions Caribbean Americans have made to America and Montgomery County and how our nation and county have been the lucky beneficiaries in so many varied ways.

County Executive Leggett presented a Proclamation to the group which was established in 2007 by Mr. Leggett to further expand the reach of the Office of Community Partnerships.
